How To Save Scripts
There are several ways to get the script(s) for your project to us.
The preferred method is on a regular 3 and 1/2 inch floppy disk, to be given to the teleprompter technician on location.
However, If the script is one page or less, it can be hand-typed by the technician on location if necessary.
The preferred word processor for writing the script is MS WORD 97 or higher. However, most word processors will work just fine.
When saving the script to a disk for the teleprompter, please make sure that it is TEXT ONLY. If the script is written in a document with other elements such as columns, etc. the text should be stripped out of that document and put into its own document.
The type of file format that is used by the teleprompter software is an MS DOS TEXT file.
When saving the script to a floppy disk, use the "save as" option in the pull down menu under "file".
Once the "save as" pop-up dialogue box is displayed, at the bottom you will see an item "save as type". Choose "MS DOS TEXT".
Once you have chosen "MS DOS TEXT", you may save the file to the floppy disk.
Saving the script document in the correct format for the teleprompter will save you valuable time while on location.
Additionally, you may also e-mail the script to us in advance. Our email address is:
